Portuguese Cooking Class

Welcome to our cooking class, where we explore the delights of Portuguese cuisine with the renowned Chef Heitor de Melo. Set on a picturesque family estate, this experience is enriched by local Vinho Verde, a lush vegetable garden, a historic chapel, and a charming old kitchen where tradition and flavor come together.
The Family Estate
Our estate is a true portrait of rural Portuguese life. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, it provides fresh ingredients straight from our garden and an authentic environment where tradition is honored and preserved. The old chapel adds a spiritual and historical touch, reminding us of the deep roots and cultural heritage that inspire our cooking.
Vinho Verde
Vinho Verde, a regional specialty, is the perfect companion to the dishes we prepare. Light and refreshing, it enhances the flavors of traditional recipes and creates an unforgettable harmony on the palate.
The Garden
We grow a variety of herbs, vegetables, and fruits that are used directly in our recipes. Here, the idea that “we are what we eat” truly comes to life. Each ingredient is harvested with care and respect for the land, ensuring an authentic, fresh, and healthy culinary experience.
The Old Kitchen
The old kitchen is the heart of the estate. With its stone walls and traditional utensils, it is a space where time seems to stand still. Here, we prepare dishes passed down through generations, keeping Portuguese culinary traditions alive.
Tradition and Hospitality
In our class, you are not just a student—you are a guest in our home. Chef Heitor de Melo guides you through traditional recipes while sharing stories and secrets that make each dish special. Portuguese hospitality is felt in every detail, from the warm welcome to the final glass of wine.
